The surf courses all take place in Caleta de Famara Lanzarote. After registration you will receive an email with the exact details. If you then need to be picked up, you can simply let us know and we will organize transport.
Our instructors
Jamie
One of two sons of the legendary Tim Jones, He is one of our most accomplished and fully qualified surfers being able to surf a variety of boards and waves taking him to a wide range of countries in search of the best conditions to surf in.
He has been teaching for over 15 years and studied closely with Tim to help develop the schools system and his own coaching style. He has a unique ability to bring out confidence and fun in our clients and has an infectious passion for surfing.
Dan
Dan uses an intuitive technical approach to those he coaches and draws on a huge ability to record and analyze almost instantly the progress of his surfers. He's therefore able to take these skills into development sessions that are truly progressive.
A highly skilled surfer on a wide variety of boards he has an in depth knowledge of surfboards and which boards will work for those he coaches. Dan is an International Surfing Association qualified instructor and holds an ISA/ILS Aquatic Rescue and Safety Certificate.
Luciano
Luciano is an Argentinian surfer who started his surfing journey at the age of 11 in Necochea Argentina. He has been surfing for 35 years with various competitions and medals to his name, traveling around the world surfing many varieties of waves and finally settling down in Lanzarote. He has not only been passionate about his growth as a surfer through out the years but has also been transmitting the wealth of knowledge to those who chose to learn for over 15 years. Having him part of the team is vital to the surf school as he has a keen eye for mistakes due to his many years of surfing. A wonderfully fun and bubbly character on the beach.

The surf courses for beginners and advanced surfers take place right near our surf school in Caleta de Famara. With 6 km of golden sand and consistent waves all year round, you are guaranteed a great time. Our passionate surf instructors will get you on the waves in no time! If you have surfed before and can surf an unbroken wave sideways for at least 5 seconds, this group is the right choice for you! Our surf school offers you the perfect set-up. You will learn maneuvers and receive lots of useful tips.
Who is this course for?
Our beginner surfing courses are suitable for everyone. You don't have to be a great athlete - you just have to be ready to spend some time on the beach and in the ocean with us and have fun! Your wetsuit, rental board, lunch and transport to and from the beach are included. What will I learn?Our friendly and professional surf instructors always start with the basics of surfing. How a wave works, how to paddle a surfboard to catch a wave and how to stand up and ride your first wave.
Is it safe?
Our beginner courses always take place in safe, waist-deep water and our qualified instructors are always by your side. We keep our groups small so you always have a dedicated instructor.
How quickly will I learn?
Everyone learns to surf at a different pace - it depends on individual talent and fitness. Regardless of your ability, you will have a lot of fun learning with us!
Will I feel safe?
Your safety is important to us - lessons start with a dynamic yoga-inspired warm-up on the beach to get you ready to surf. We always discuss how to stay safe in the water and how to behave while surfing. Plus, our surf instructors are with you the whole time.
Why do I need a surfing course?
There's a lot more to surfing than you think! If you learn with a qualified surf instructor, you'll get everything right from the start in a safe environment.
Surfboards : For beginner courses we always use soft surfboards with soft fins to avoid injuries. We also use extra long leashes so that if you fall off the board doesn't drag you down and you have a little more time to protect your body.
Wetsuits: Your body will be protected (from the sea, the board and the sun!) with one of our high quality wetsuits.
WARNING : The sun is very strong here, so we recommend that you protect your skin with a waterproof sunscreen with a high SPF. Sunscreen is highly recommended.
